The Especial ‘Deluxe’ is my most affordable 6-string to date and a guitar model played by the revivalist bluesman himself Seasick Steve! (see images)

Inspired by Bo Diddley, and ready for the modern blues musician this hollow-bodied electric guitar features maple soundboard and body rims w/ mahogany back, twin Kay-style ‘f’-holes’, custom D+H vintage cigar box body illustration ‘Great Chief', bolt-on solid mahogany neck w/ ‘golden era’ guitar headstock & walnut headstock veneer, high quality Kluson butter-bean tuners, 1920’s buffalo nickel coin inset to the headstock, 23 fret rosewood fretboard w/white mother-of-pearl fret markers, 2-way fully adjustable truss rod, 4 chrome corner pieces, hand-tooled & polished steel trapeze tailpiece w/ wooden bridge + bone saddle and solid bone nut (bridge is easily upgraded to tune-o-matic style if desire).

Remaining simple in design this model features a single Gretsch-style ‘Filter-tron’ pickup, high-quality noiseless volume control w/ chrome control knobs and large chrome jack plate.

All of these features make the Especial Deluxe a fantastic and affordable option for guitar enthusiasts who wish to not only embody the Cigar Box Guitar heritage but who also desire to use regular six string guitar tablature. Six strings makes learning & playing an easy transition to the cigar box guitar blues tradition.
